Transcription for E-flat clarinet and piano: Agnieszka Dąbrowska-Kras

André Messager (1853–1929) was a French composer,
conductor, and organist closely associated with Parisian
musical life around the turn of the twentieth century. Solo
de Concours (1899), written for use at the Paris
Conservatoire, reflects the elegance, clarity, and refined
virtuosity characteristic of French Belle Époque music.
The work combines lyrical expression with technical
brilliance typical of contemporary examination repertoire.

Claude Debussy – Syrinx na flet solo

Transcription for E-flat clarinet: Agnieszka Dąbrowska-Kras

Claude Debussy (1862–1918) was a French composer and
leading figure of musical impressionism, whose work
profoundly transformed musical language at the turn of
the twentieth century. Composed in 1913, Syrinx is one of
his most iconic solo works, inspired by Greek mythology
and the story of the nymph Syrinx. The piece is
distinguished by its rhythmic flexibility, subtle use of
color and expressive intensity.
About this edition
The transcription for Eb clarinet was prepared to expand
solo repertoire, while preserving expressive character and
musical language of Debussy’s original work. Formal
structure and artistic integrity remain unchanged.
